9year old girl accidentally kills instructor with gun during shooting lesson

What does a 9 year old girl need shooting lessons for? A 9-year-old girl learning to fire a submachine gun accidentally shot and killed her instructor at Last Stop gun range in White Hills, Arizona on Monday Aug. 25th.

Authorities say when the girl pulled the trigger, the weapon recoiled over her shoulder and shot the instructor, 39 year old Charles Vacca, in the head. He later died in the hospital.

The accidental shooting was captured on a cellphone. Continue to see the video...

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office said the girl was with her parents. The website of Bullets and Burgers, the shooting range where the accident happened, says children between the ages of 8 and 17 can shoot a weapon if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Police identified the weapon as an Uzi, an Israeli-made submachine gun.

Check out the cell phone video released by authorities yesterday showing the moments before the fatal shots were fired..

Lecrae First In Christian Hip Hop To Land #1 Song on iTunes

Reach Records emcee Lecrae, earlier this week, gave fans something unexpected. "All I Need Is You", marking Lecrae's third single from his upcoming album Anomaly, became available for download Tuesday.

The newest single off of Lecrae’s 7th studio album, to be released September 9th, skyrocketed towards the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart, eventually peaking at number 1. "All I Need Is You (click here to play)" surpassed Nicki Minaj’s single "Anaconda" that dropped the same day, and Jessie J’s "Bang Bang" on its way to acquiring the honor of top song on iTunes. This marks the first time that a Christian Hip Hop artist has hit #1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap song chart, and the first time a Christian Hip Hop artist has hit #1 on the iTunes song chart overall!

“"Y'all's support is crazy!! Number 1 song on iTunes tho?! God bless y'all," said Lecrae on Twitter yesterday.

In light of the highly successful releases of the singles "Nuthin" and "Fear", available for download if you pre-order Anomaly, the success of "All I Need Is You" is no anomaly. "Nuthin" and "Fear" also saw this same type of success of course, although not to this level, making their way into the top 10 of the iTunes Top Songs chart.

Pre-orders have also allowed Lecrae’s newest project to peak at number 1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap Albums chart and number 2 on the iTunes Top Albums chart.

You can support Lecrae by pre-ordering Anomaly on iTunes now or purchasing "Nuthin", "Fear", and "All I Need Is You" on iTunes.

Indian Teenager Defends Herself Against Rapist By Cutting Off His Penis - And Police Are Praising Her 'Courage'

A teenage girl in India defended herself against her rapist uncle by cutting off his penis with a knife. And local police are praising her for her courage.

Police in the Madhepura district of Bihar said the young woman, believed to be aged either 17 or 18, had already been raped last month by her uncle, who is known in the local area as a tantric and who performs rituals.

According to the Bihar Police crime statistics, 478 reported rapes occurred in the first five months of this year, with 130 rapes in May alone.

Initial reports from the Times of India stated the uncle of the girl was a tantric healer and that she was taken to see him when she became ill.

Claiming the girl was possessed by an evil spirit, he the proceeded to gag and rape her.But police later told the Independent that there was no attempt to “cure her” — it was just rape.

When he allegedly tried to assault her a second time, the young woman was prepared and had armed herself with a knife and a recording device.

She recorded a conversation between them, sliced off his penis and managed to escape.

The girl then reported what had happened to a village council. But when the council failed to tackle the matter to her satisfaction, the young woman contacted local women police officers.

Senior officer AK Singh, superintendent at the Alam Nagar police station, located around 200 miles east of the state capital, Patna, told The Independent that the alleged attacker had fled after the incident and that officers were looking for him. Minus a penis.

Asked whether any charges had been filed against the young woman, he replied: “Why should we file a case against her? We should applaud her bravery and courage.”

The latest case of assault in India comes amid a wave of publicity about sexual violence in India.

Many took to Twitter to praise the young woman for defending herself.

South Korean University Bans Nigerian Students Over Ebola Fears

A university in South Korea has banned three Nigerian students it had invited to a conference from attending amid concerns about the highly contagious Ebola virus which has already claimed more than 700 lives.

Duksung Women’s University, a private institution in Seoul, cancelled invitations to the students who were due to attend the World Congress of Global Partnership for Young Women conference, an event held in partnership with the UN.

"The school announced that it canceled all invitations issued to three students from Nigeria. Also, students from countries in other parts of Africa will have to undergo additional health inspections before participating in the event," the student president of Duksung told The Korea Times.

More than 15,000 people signed an online petition to have the "dangerous" invitations rescinded. Students from other regions in Africa will still be attending, although the university is in talks with the government on how to deal with the "potential problem".

Since February, Ebola has killed hundreds of people in West Africa, while no cure or vaccine is available to treat patients.

The disease is a viral illness, often characterised by the onset of fever, intense weakness, muscle pain, headache and sore throat. This is followed by vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases, both internal and external bleeding.

Symptoms can take anyone between two and 21 days to appear.
