Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria is to build video-conference halls in all of its 13 faculties to improve e-learning.
The university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha, stated this while inaugurating an e-library,ICT-laboratory as well as the disbursement of scholarship and research grants to various beneficiaries, sponsored by the McArthur Foundation.
Mustapha said the completion of the halls would help ABU to actualise its dream of becoming an e-learning-based university. He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the gesture for the development of education.
Representative of McArthur Foundation and Project Investigator, Prof. George Jonathan, said the gesture was meant to build capacity of both staff and students.
