Last week , the students representative committee of ahmadu bello university shutdown the functioning cybercafes in social center, ahmadu bello university, for alledgedly collecting money from students to enable them complete student online activities, sources say they were collecting a sum of 2500 naira/student to make these transactions.
It's all good really, the S.R.C should just ensure that all the classes that have Lan cables and Wi-fi networks are functioning properly, so that the shutdown of the cafes at social center don't slow down people who require the internet to do assignments and other online academic activities, (evolution cafe ranks as the biggest cybercafe on the main campus, with well over 300 customers/ day.)....thank God A.B.U is one of the most networked and internet friendly universities in africa!!
